So tonight we finished up coding the ArtIntEngine, or Artificial Intelligence Engine. This little piece of code is going to breathe life into the NPCs of Elemental Planes. Working on a lot of the same design principals of the rest of the game system, it will allow the NPCs to "see" the world and interact directly with all aspects of the game, just like we do with our Player (or human) objects. We feel that designing the system this way will allow us to write NPC code with more intelligence and natural reactions than you see in a lot of other games. We very excited for what this will allow us to do with Elemental Planes.
